Mongoloor Read-Aloud: Learn to Read Mongolian Cyrillic

Course overview

10 lessons + final showcase. Each lesson is short (8–18 minutes), interactive (H5P activities) and ends with a LearnDash topic quiz. Use audio-first approach — kids hear a lot, then match letters to sounds, then read. Humor and silly mnemonics included.

Syllabus (modular, self-paced)

  Lesson 0 — Welcome & Sound Party

  Orientation: audio tour, how to use LearnDash + H5P, meet Bataa, simple placement listening check (no reading required).

  Lesson 1 — Vowel Karaoke (А, О, У, Э, И, Ө, Ү)

  Introduce vowel shapes + sounds with singing, H5P ‘Interactive Video’ to tap vowel when heard, mnemonic songs, 5-word audio matching practice.

  Lesson 2 — Consonant Crew (grouped)

  Group consonants by sound families (plosives, fricatives, nasals). H5P drag-and-drop to sort sounds, silly tongue-twister recording challenge.

  Lesson 3 — Letter + Sound Games

  Letter-sound mapping games, memory match, LearnDash short quiz, student records a 10-word reading for teacher review (optional).

  Lesson 4 — Syllable Surfing

  Assemble syllables (CV/CVC) with H5P ‘Agamotto’ style exercises and build silly two-syllable words. Mini comic to practice reading aloud.

  Lesson 5 — Reading Small Words

  Introduce frequently-used Mongolian function words and names. H5P fill-in-the-blank and an interactive audiobook page with highlighted text.

  Lesson 6 — Names & Places

  Practice reading names (family, friend) and Mongolian place names. Create a ‘My Mongolian Name’ certificate as downloadable PDF (server-side template).

  Lesson 7 — Short Sentences

  Combine words into short sentences. H5P branching scenario where Bataa gets lost and the student reads clues to help him.

  Lesson 8 — Reading Fluency & Expression

  Pacing, stress, intonation practice with recording + waveform playback. Peer review option using LearnDash assignment feature.

  Lesson 9 — Mini Stories

  Read 3 illustrated micro-stories (40–80 words). H5P ‘Mark the words’ activity + comprehension quiz in LearnDash.

  Capstone — Family Show & Tell

  Student records a 2-minute reading of their favorite micro-story; family watches. Certificate & LearnDash badge awarded.

Assessments & LMS flow

• Each lesson is a LearnDash Lesson containing 2–4 Topics (short H5P activities embedded via shortcode).
• Short formative quizzes after each Topic (LearnDash Quiz or H5P Question Set).
• Sum-up auto-graded quizzes + teacher-review assignments for speaking tasks.
• Gamification: points, badges, progress bar, and “Bataa’s Stickers” collectible shown on student profile.
